Every year here at Rhythm Connections Radio we like to make you aware of World Sickle Cell Day which happens on the 19th June. This year we are also highlighting the urgent need for Black blood donation here in the UK.
There are over 15,000 people, in the UK, who suffer with Sickle Cell and at times many of them will need blood transfusions to help them cope with the condition. The National Heath Service is looking for more Black and Asian people to come forward and give blood. For more info on Sickle Cell and giving blood please click on the images below.

DJ B Line was away from the studio throughout last week. He wasn't available for his Tuesday or Friday slots but returned for his Saturday Lovers Rock show.
On the Bank Holiday Monday Mr Bigzz had to cut his show short as there was an important situation that arose which required his attention. As DJ B Line was not online Tuesday Mr Bigzz covered his slot to make up for the time he missed the previous day.
Maxxy Jay was away Saturday morning due to some family commitments. He will be back in the studio this weekend.
Also DJ Don wasn't around for his slot on the Sunday afternoon but a replay of one of his previous shows was played. He should hopefully be back in for this weekend.
